The Young NanoScientist India Award

Young NanoScientist India Award

The Young NanoScientist India Award, sponsored by Oxford Instruments, recognises and encourages young scientists in India.

The Award is presented biennially to a scientist, younger than 45 years of age, for outstanding research in the fabrication and characterisation of nanomaterials and nanostructures in physical or bio nanotechnology.

The Young NanoScientist India Award has a selection committee comprising of 4 senior professors. This committee selects the winner from the candidates who have been nominated for the prize.

The award comprises of a commemorative certificate, trophy, a cash prize of INR ₹200,000 and a unique opportunity to give invited lectures at selected foreign Universities.

Science Prize 2021 Winner

We are delighted to announce that Prof. Anindya Das of the Indian Institute of Science has been selected as the winner of the 2021 Young NanoScientist India Award Science Prize. He was selected for is work titled “Transport phenomena in emerging quantum nano-devices”.  Read more about the award here.
