Discovery Work Experience Programme

Here at Oxford Instruments we have provided work experience opportunities for students in Oxfordshire and the neighbouring counties for many years, which have always proven to be popular.

In 2016, we launched the Discovery Work Experience Programme (DWEP).  The purpose of the programme is to provide valuable insight into Oxford Instruments and to give students an opportunity to find out what it is like to work in industry via a series of work-based learning activities, and explore available options for future careers.

The two weeks that we are offering Work-experience placements this year are week-commencing Monday 13th June to Friday 17th June ; and week-commencing Monday 4th July to Friday 8th July. Please indicate which of these weeks will be best for you, when you apply, or whether you are available for either. We will try to match students’ requested times, to what we can accommodate. If you can not make either of the weeks, do submit an application form anyway if you want us to hold your details on file for future possibilities.

You need to be over 15 years of age at the time of your placement with us (by 13th June or 4th July 2022).

We look forward to hosting work-experience students from several local school this summer.
